Richard is a globally-experienced thought leader in Experiential Design, with deep expertise in Financial Services and the creation of Retail, Workplace and Extended Reality (XR) experiences.
Richard has dedicated 30 years to design craft excellence and has led experiential design projects in over 50 countries for global brands, national hero brands, and regional players.
Richard is inspired by the power of design to solve problems, create new commercial opportunities and differentiate brands. His passion for designing unique retail environments, brand propositions and customer experiences that surprise and delight, is now focused on creating solutions at the intersection of Brand, Spatial, Digital, and Virtual Design.
Prior to founding Ape Designs, Richard was a Creative Managing Director at Accenture Song, the Fjord Studio Lead for London, and a Board Member for Allen International.
Iain is a passionate advocate for the value that brands deliver and has a track record of delivering brand strategy, design, and experience projects over a 25 year career.
Iain brings executive leadership experience from WPP, Publicis, and Omnicom design agencies and a global mindset developed from living in the UK, US and Middle East. Most recently, Iain was the global go-to-market lead for Accenture Song’s Space Design practice, framing and promoting retail design, metaverse, and future of work offers.
Iain’s strengths include brand positioning, brand architecture, brand storytelling, account leadership, stakeholder engagement, and workshop facilitation.
Paul is a hands-on, creative 3D design lead with an extensive background in conceptualising, refining and implementing the built environment.
His belief is that a strong narrative should underpin all spatial encounters, be it an event, retail space or VR experience.
Paul is zealous about establishing well-crafted stories with compelling conceptual hooks that inform and enrich the emotive experience, and is driven to deliver them through a sense of craft and joy in creativity- without losing sight of commercial realities.
Paul has more then 30 years of design practice experience, with projects completed in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Following tenures at Landor, Fitch and Imagination, Paul has most recently worked alongside Richard at Accenture Song and Allen International in the role of Principal Designer. 'We take a holistic approach to interior design, considering factors such as lighting, colour, texture, and flow. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also promote health and well-being.'
